When the sun begins to shine through our windows earlier in the morning, when nature slowly awakens, flowers start to bloom, and we can hear the birds singing — it feels so natural to feel the urge to reset and refresh after the long, cold winter months.
Personally, I really love this time of year, so I wanted to gather a few things that help me, and I hope you’ll find something here that you can gently bring into your everyday life too.
Move outside
As the weather becomes softer and warmer, it almost feels like nature is inviting us to spend more time outdoors. I recently read that birds only sing when they feel completely safe — and when they sense danger, they fall silent.
Research shows that hearing birds can reduce stress and help calm the mind. Even just 10 minutes a day in nature can help you relax, support your mental well-being, and improve your focus.
Refresh your routine
Spring brings a shift in energy — why not learn from it?
I truly believe that how we start our mornings shapes the rest of our day. (And yes… I’m a morning person, so please don’t hate me.)
Try waking up just 15 minutes earlier. Start your day with fresh air and sunlight — open your window wide, and allow yourself a slow, intentional beginning.
A simple morning ritual, like gentle stretching, yoga, meditation, or journaling, can help both your mind and body feel refreshed and ready for the day ahead.
Digital Detox
This might be one of the most powerful things you can try.
We spend so much time in front of screens — not only because of work, but also constantly checking our phones. Giving yourself space away from that can feel surprisingly refreshing and support a more mindful lifestyle.
Try this:
It might feel uncomfortable at first… but it can be life-changing.
Spring cleaning for the mind
Spring is often associated with cleaning our homes — but the most meaningful reset happens within.
Take a piece of paper or your journal and ask yourself:
“If my mind were a garden, what is one ‘weed’ I’m ready to gently pull out — and what new intention would I like to plant in its place?”
Writing this down is a small but powerful act. It creates space for new ideas, creativity, and personal growth.
I truly believe that when we clear our inner space with intention, we create room for mindful creativity and allow our authentic self to bloom more freely.
Nourish your creativity: The art of slowing down
After clearing your space and your mind, it’s time to fill that space with something that inspires you.
Spring is a season of creation — which makes it the perfect moment to begin a slow creative ritual.
In a world that constantly asks for speed and instant results, choose something that invites patience. Something you can do with your hands.
It can be coloring an illustration, or starting a small sewing project — not for perfection, but for the experience itself.
If you feel like starting, you can explore a few of my printable creative rituals here.
I hope you found something in this blog post, that resonated with you.
And don’t forget: start small, and stay consistent.
Even nature takes time to awaken.
