Who am I to share this out loud?
That question holds more people back than a lack of talent ever will.
I’ve been seeing it everywhere lately: you don’t need to be good to start, you just need to start, because there is no change without action. Isn’t it true? One of my favourite sayings is: there is no change without change. So be it. Move forward, take the first step, follow that dream, and first of all, say it out loud.
It’s easy to say, I know. When I shared my first blog post, I felt the same way. But then I realized that there is a first time for everything, and I shouldn’t hold back what I have to say if I feel the need to share it.
I think a lack of confidence keeps powerful ideas small and meaningful stories unheard. We assume we need more experience, or more proof, before our voice is ready to travel further. We don’t question our ideas — we question ourselves. But what if we are already ready in this exact moment? And we don’t need proof from others — we just need proof from ourselves.
On days when I don’t feel confident, when I feel like I can’t do the things I dream of, I try to look inside and see what’s missing. Where does my courage come from? And I always realize that it comes from within, not from somewhere else.
Still, there are many small signs in life that give us the courage to move forward — to take the next step, to make that call, to book that trip. As I’ve started to notice these signs more consciously, I’ve realized how powerful they can be.
This is why I created coloring rituals with affirmational quotes — words that speak clearly, and gently remind you of your strength, especially on the harder days.
Take a moment and write down one idea you’ve been holding back.
Not to share — just to see it outside your mind.
Notice what it shows you, and maybe that question — “Who am I to share this out loud?” — starts to feel a little quieter.
